Abstract
The Westin Zagreb hotel trenutno prolazi kroz velike promjene važne za njegovo poslovanje. Hotel je prošle godine promijenio vlasnika i krovni brend pod kojim posluje. Dvije toliko velike i značajne promjene hotelu poput Westina donose mnoštvo novih izazova kojima se mora prilagoditi brzo i u hodu, bez utjecaja na kvalitetu usluge koja mora ostati vrhunska i opravdavati status te cijenu. Opisane promjene i događanja promatrane su osobno i sustavno, tijekom tromjesečne studentske prakse u hotelu. Kroz odjele recepcije, rezervacija i prodaje, pružena je prilika izbliza vidjeti sve promjene i prilagodbu hotela i zaposlenika na njih. Sve kompanije koje su dio ove velike promjene moraju pronaći zajednički cilj i strategiju poslovanja, a Westin se uz to mora prilagoditi i američkom partneru koji je nositelj brenda i od svih hotela zahtijeva korištenje zajedničkog sustava i platformi za poslovanje, ali donosi veliku bazu svojih gostiju i sigurnost koju pruža poslovanje pod najvećim hotelskim lancem na svijetu.
Abstract (english)
The Westin Zagreb hotel is currently going trough two major changes for its business. In the last year hotel has changed the owner and the main brand under which he operates. Two such big and significant changes for hotel like Westin are bringing many challenges to which he has to adapt quickly and without any impact to the quality of service that has to stay top quality and justify the status and the price of the hotel. All of the described changes and events were systematically observed during the three month student’s praxis in the hotel. Trough reception, reservations and sales departments it was given a chance to closely observe changes and adaptation of the hotel and employees to the new situation. All of the companies that are part of this big change have to find mutual goal and strategy of business. Besides that The Westin also has to adapt to the american partner that is new owner of the brand and demands using mutual system and business platforms, but he brings big guest list and security provided by working under the biggest hotel chain in the world.
