Abstract
Sa sigurnošću se može reći da je turizam jedna od najbrže rastućih gospodarskih aktivnosti u Hrvatskoj. Posljednjih godina posebnu pozornost i popularnost privlači određeni oblik turizma – održivi turizam. Zbog navedenog razloga, ovim radom istražene su mogućnosti razvoja održivog turizma grada Velike Gorice. Metode korištene za provođenje istraživanja bile su on-line anketa i intervju direktorice turističke zajednice Velike Gorice. Dobiveni rezultati i spoznaje nisu iznenadili jer grad Velika Gorica ima bogatu kulturnu tradiciju i turističke resurse povoljne za razvoj upravo takvog tipa turizma. Posjetitelji, kao i direktorica turističke zajednice, smatraju kako je Velika Gorica dobra destinacija koja turističku ponudu može razvijati na održivom turizmu. Preporuka za daljnje istraživanje bila bi: „Kako bi izgradnja sportsko-rekreacijskog centra na jezeru Čiče utjecala na turističku potražnju grada Velike Gorice“.
Abstract (english)
Tourism can certainly be considered one of the fastest growing economic activities in Croatia. However, in recent years, a specific type of tourism -sustainable tourism has drawn special attention to itself and gained more popularity. Thus, this paper explores the potential of sustainable tourism development of Velika Gorica. The methods used to conduct the research were online survey and interview with the director of the Tourist Board City of Velika Gorica. The results and findings were not surprising because the city of Velika Gorica has a rich culture and tourism resources that are exceptional for the development of this type of tourism. Visitors, as well as the tourist board director, believe that Velika Gorica is a good destination for sustainable tourism development. The recommendation for further research would be: "How would the construction of a sports and recreational center on Lake Čiče influence the tourist demand of Velika Gorica".
