The aim of this paper was to analyze the profitability of investing in distribution of wine from the production of winery Deak on the Croatian market. Financial analysis and research methods gave answers to the research questions as well as the results which helped to make a decision about the implementation of this venture. A survey conducted with consumers concluded that consumers did not consider the wine market in Croatia to be over-saturated and that they are ready to try out a new wine, although it is from an unknown wine producer. Therefore, it can be concluded that the demand on the market exists. Based on the market analysis, it is stated that the risk for business is competition that is extremely strong on the Croatian market, but through the quality offer and the acceptable price of wines from winery Deak it strives to surpass. Through the financial analysis, it was found that the project will initially produce weaker results, which is not surprising given its weak recognition, but after a few years, a significant improvement in long-term business performance is expected. Based on the presented results of economic and financial evaluation, market analysis as well as conducted research, it was concluded that the project for the winery owner is acceptable and suitable for performance and is recommended for making a positive decision.
