The assignment Project of creating a mobile application for a student portal presents the mobile application development process. This application is intended to provide students, especially first year students who are still adapting to their academic lives, with all the required information. Consequently, the application includes lists of student dormitories, student housing facilities, upcoming events and many other opportunities. The name of the application is Studirum and it is intended to be simple, yet dynamic. It is simple due to its straightforward user interface and its ability to manoeuvre easily through it. On the other hand, it is also dynamic because a segment of the presented data is stored on a remote server, which makes it possible to change data that is being shown in the user’s device. This assignment elaborates on the interface of the application, interface design, the technologies that have been used and the steps required for the development of the application. Every page of the application has been comprehensively described and accompanied by pictures. The technologies used in application development have been described in a separate chapter and explanations have been provided for each one of them, as well as their effects on the application. In addition to user interface and the technologies used, all the technical aspects have been comprehensively described and so have the pieces of code. These pieces of code have been extracted from the Studirum project. The code presented in the assignment has been tested and it works.
