Abstract
Ovaj rad se bavi analizom komunikacijskih alata korištenih u promociji sportske manifestacije „WRC Croatia Rally 2023“. Sportske manifestacije su kompleksni događaji koji zahtijevaju pažljivo planiranje i promociju kako bi privukli sudionike i publiku. Kroz pregled teorijskih odrednica o organizaciji sportskih manifestacija, istraživanja o promociji sportskih događaja te analizu sadržaja službenih profila društvenih mreža, dubinski intervju s predstavnikom komunikacija manifestacije te analizu dobivenih rezultata, rad nastoji pružiti uvid u primjenu komunikacijskih strategija u promociji spomenute manifestacije te identificirati moguće smjernice za poboljšanje komunikacijskih aktivnosti. U prvom dijelu rada, daje se pregled teorijskih aspekata organizacije sportskih manifestacija, uključujući logistiku, marketing i odnose s javnošću. Zatim slijedi pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja o promociji sportskih manifestacija, koji pruža kontekst za daljnju analizu. Nakon toga, rad se fokusira na konkretnu manifestaciju „WRC Croatia Rally 2023”, pružajući detaljan prikaz komunikacijskih alata korištenih u njezinoj promociji. Analiza sadržaja službenog Instagram profila pruža uvid u načine na koje su organizatori koristili online platforme kako bi komunicirali s publikom, promovirali događaj i angažirali zajednicu. Dubinski intervju s predstavnikom komunikacija manifestacije dodatno osvjetljava strategije i izazove u promociji događaja. Na temelju analize sadržaja i rezultata dubinskog intervjua, rad zaključuje identificirajući ključne aspekte uspješne komunikacije u promociji sportskih manifestacija te predlaže smjernice za moguće poboljšanje komunikacijskih aktivnosti za buduće izdanje „WRC Croatia Rally“ ili slične manifestacije. Abstract (english)
This thesis examines the communication tools used to promote the „WRC Croatia Rally 2023” sports event. Sports events are complex occasions that require careful planning and promotion to attract participants and audiences. Through a review of theoretical concepts related to sports event organization, research on sports event promotion, and analysis of the content of official social media profiles, along with an in-depth interview with a communication representative of the event, the paper aims to provide insights into the application of communication strategies in promoting the event mentioned above and identify possible guidelines for improving communication activities. The first part of the paper provides an overview of the theoretical aspects of sports event organization, including logistics, marketing, and public relations. This is followed by a review of previous research on sports event promotion, providing context for further analysis. Subsequently, the paper focuses on the specific event „WRC Croatia Rally 2023”, providing a detailed overview of the communication tools used in its promotion. The analysis of the content of the official Instagram profile provides insight into how organizers utilized online platforms to communicate with the audience, promote the event, and engage the community. Additionally, the in-depth interview with the event’s communication representative sheds light on strategies and challenges in promoting the event. Based on the content analysis and in-depth interview results, the final thesis identifies key aspects of successful communication in promoting sports events. It proposes guidelines for possible improvement of communication activities for future editions of the „WRC Croatia Rally“ or similar events.
