In the Republic of Croatia, the development of women's entrepreneurship is threatened by a number of factors, including inadequate recognition of women in entrepreneurship and traditional societal views on women. The paper focuses on four set goals, which are: discovering the obstacles that women face in entrepreneurship, exploring the importance of balancing private and business life, researching examples of good practices and solving challenges of female entrepreneurship in other countries, and investigating differences in perception between men and women regarding challenges of female entrepreneurship. The aim of the work is to explore new opportunities for female entrepreneurship and identify ways to encourage women to start their own business ventures. A structured interview was conducted to explore new possibilities for the development of female entrepreneurship. The interview examined various obstacles faced by women in entrepreneurship. The findings from the structured interview revealed that female entrepreneurs face challenges such as lack of support, limited experience, and difficulties in accessing financing. Through examples of successful female entrepreneurs, the work highlights the importance of further development and support of women's entrepreneurship in order to create a fairer and more equal business environment. Despite obstacles and challenges, women are increasingly taking a leading role in entrepreneurship and are more educated and prepared to start their own businesses. A survey was conducted with 200 male and female participants in the Republic of Croatia, where it was revealed that achieving a balance between personal and professional life is a challenge for many respondents. The possibility of working from home was identified as a useful means to achieve a balance between these two areas. The thesis concludes that traditional views on women and a lack of support in balancing private and business life pose significant obstacles for women who want to succeed as entrepreneurs or in other business areas. Although the reasons for starting entrepreneurial activity have changed, the necessity still influences the idea of entrepreneurship. It is necessary to dedicate more attention to the development of support systems for female entrepreneurs in order to ensure their success and equality in the business world.
