The aim of this final paper is to explore the role of Public Relations (PR) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry and analyze how it differs from PR in other branches of work. PR plays a crucial role in the ICT industry as it shapes the communication strategies employed by organizations to interact with various stakeholders, including customers, investors, media, and the public. This paper provides a theoretical framework for understanding PR in the ICT industry and highlights recent research on the subject. The research methodology employed in this paper is qualitative, utilizing in-depth interviews with PR professionals specializing in the ICT sector. Three experts were selected for the study, and they were asked a series of six structured interview questions. The questions encompassed topics such as the overall approach to PR in the ICT industry, the specific strategies employed in communicating with journalists, and the utilization of social networks for political communication. The responses provided by the interviewees were analyzed and compared in order to gain insight into the workings of PR in the ICT industry. The findings shed light on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by PR professionals in this sector. The research highlights the importance of tailored communication strategies in an industry that is characterized by rapid technological advancements, evolving customer expectations, and intense competition. The results of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of PR in the ICT industry and provide valuable insight for PR practitioners, organizations, and policymakers. By understanding the intricacies of PR in the ICT sector, professionals can develop effective communication strategies that enhance brand reputation, engage investors, and promote innovation.
