Throughout history, many definitions regarding entrepreneur and entrepreneurship were developed. Each definition contains words like innovations, risk-taking and creativity. Entrepreneurship has a positive effect on the country’s development and helping the community. With establishing a company, an entrepreneur enters a market where s/he faces many barriers which s/he solves with his/her creativity and by coming up fast with solutions. An entrepreneur is a person ready for big sacrifices and endurance because his/her work is related to huge responsibility and working with risk. Entrepreneurship is started with one innovative idea made by the entrepreneur. For this to happen, entrepreneur needs funds, which not all entrepreneurs can raise. For that reason, there are a significant amount of public and private institutions and funds that provide financial support for entrepreneurs. Other than financial support they can provide many other kinds of support, including incentives, new ideas, help regarding education and so on. The aim of this final thesis is to explain the concept of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship, and crisis. To present and interpret the results correctly, a study was conducted using the interview method. The interview provides a partial picture of how Croatian entrepreneurs cope with the crisis situations that have befallen them during their work.
