Rehabilitation of an athlete is the most demanding form of rehabilitation because it is not enough just to help the injured athlete to establish his/her normal course of life, but to enable him/her to continue to achieve athletic success just like before the injury occurred. That is why the rehabilitation of athletes begins immediately after the operation, with the necessary cooperation of a professional team. If injury prevention and education of athletes on prevention is carried out, it is much easier to start rehabilitation, because the athlete is prepared to undergo rehabilitation and training of the whole body specially adapted to his sport, but this process involves a whole team and other professionals, such as psychologists and nutritionists. Namely, there is a lot of hard work for the injured athlete, and he/she needs to endure several months having the belief and confidence that the return to the field and competitions will be realized. Unfortunately, this complete care of the professional team that cooperates daily cannot be found in Croatia in one place or in one rehabilitation center. Very often, if only one link is missing in the chain, there is a danger that the months-long recovery process will not be completed successfully. For this reason, based on the research conducted in the past months, the concept of the innovative idea of the Athlete Rehabilitation Center was born, which arose from personal experience and needs after a sports injury. The center is designed to carry out prevention, rehabilitation, and it includes an interdisciplinary team of experts. In addition, it adapts to each sport individually and with a personal approach to each athlete.
