| Abstract | Otok Vir jedan je od 300 otoka i otočića Zadarskog arhipelaga. Smješten je u Virskom
moru u sjeverozapadnom dijelu Dalmacije. Po veličini je dvadeseti među hrvatskim
otocima, a osmi u Zadarskom arhipelagu. S kopnom je spojen mostom izgrađenim
1976. godine preko Privlačkog gaza čime je otok postao sastavnim dijelom kopna,
stoga posjetitelji mogu doživjeti tipičan otočni ugođaj s jedne strane, a u isto vrijeme
mogu uživati u mobilnosti koju im pruža suvremena cestovna mreža. Zbog svog
položaja, otok Vir idealna je polazna točka za izlete u okolne nacionalne parkove:
Paklenica s impozantnim kanjonima, Kornati, Slapovi Krke i Plitvička jezera. Osim
prirodnih znamenitosti, u neposrednoj blizini otoka nalaze se i značajni povijesni
gradovi: starohrvatski kraljevski grad Nin s najmanjom katedralom na svijetu – sv. Križ
te 3000 godina stari Zadar čija jezgra obiluje povijesnim spomenicima. Sam otok Vir
predstavlja tipičnu kupališnu destinaciju sa snažnim sezonskim karakterom. Imidžom
neurbaniziranog i prekomjerno izgrađenog prostora u prošlim desetljećima otok Vir
nije predstavljao značajan čimbenik na turističkoj karti Hrvatske. Broj noćenja svake
godine znatno raste. U ponudu smještajnih objekata većinom pripadaju privatni
smještaji i kuće za odmor te kampovi. Otok Vir napreduje u turističkoj ponudi i sadržaju,
u smještajnim kapacitetima i objektima i u infrastrukturi. U planu je da se do 2030.
godine uredi cjelokupni obalni pojas u duljini od 5 km s raznim turističkim sadržajima:
dvjema komunalnim lučicama i dvjema nautičkim lukama, hotelom sa 100 soba,
autokampom s 2.000 mjesta i kapacitetom od 6.000 gostiju, lovačkim domom,
konjičkim centrom, sportsko-rekreacijski centrom, osnovnom školom sa sportskom
dvoranom te domom kulture s kongresnim centrom za 300 osoba koji će služiti i kao
sveučilišni centar. U razdoblju do 2030. godine Vir će dobiti vatrogasni dom i upravnoposlovni
centar s uredskim i poslovnim prostorima, kongresne dvorane, trgovački
centar, ugostiteljske sadržaje, dva hotela u centru otoka, javne garaže, a u planu je
također izgradnja doma za starije i nemoćne te dom zdravlja. |
| Abstract (english) | The island of Vir is one of 300 islands and islets of the Zadar archipelago. It is located
in the Vir sea in the northwestern part of Dalmatia. It is the 20th largest in the Croatian
islands and eighth in the Zadar archipelago. It is connected to the mainland by a bridge
built in 1976 via Privlaka Gas, making the island an integral side while enjoying the
mobility afforded by the modern road network. Due to its location, the island of Vir is
an ideal starting point for trips to the surrounding national parks: Paklenica with
imposing canyons, Kornati, Krka waterfalls and Plitvice Lakes. In addition to the natural
sights, there are significant historic towns in the immediate vicinity of the island: the
ancient Croatian royal city of Nin with the smallest cathedral in the world – sv. Cross
and 3000 years old Zadar whose core is full of historical monuments. The island of Vir
itself is a typical bathing destination with a strong seasonal character. In the past
decades the island of Vir has not represented a significant factor on the tourist map of
Croatia in terms of the image of non-urbanized and over-built space. The number of
overnight stays increases significantly each year. Most of the accommodation facilities
are private accommodation, holiday homes and campsites. The island of Vir is making
progress in its tourist offer and facilities, in its accommodation capacities and facilities,
as well as in its infrastructure. The plan is to have a complete 5 km long coastal zone
with various tourist facilities, two communal ports and two nautical ports, a 100-room
hotel, a campsite with 2000 seats and a capacity of 6000 guests, a hunting lodge, an
equestrian center by 2030. A sports and recreation center, an elementary school with
a sports hall and a cultural center with business and office premises, shopping and
catering facilities, a public garage and a hotel and the plan is also to build a health
center, a home for the elderly and infirm and a social home. |
